Cosmetics firm in N. Texas

RLINGTON -- Faces, an Ontario-based cosmetics retailer with a line of branded products and spa services, has opened its first U.S. location, in The Parks at Arlington mall, Cooper Street and Interstate 20 in south Arlington. Faces, founded in 1974, operates 54 locations in Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Ireland and the United Kingdom and is beginning to franchise U.S. locations. The company recently opened a U.S. headquarters and its first corporate prototype training store, in NorthPark Center in Dallas. Deno Scoular, recently hired to develop the U.S. market, said he projects having 65 Faces franchise locations in the U.S. by July 2008, with 20 of them open by summer. "Our products and services are in high demand in a booming market segment," Scoular said in a statement.
